Dam I swear. I have this conversation so many times, the whole “why nice guys finish last” topic and it’s sad because girls are aware of it and just let it happen. I suppose it can be the whole theory that eventually when a girl realizes how many fuck ups she’s been through she finally settles for a nice guy, who actually treats her right. Normally “nice guys” are supposed to sit through the “trials and errors” of girls that don’t have a fucking clue what they want, whether they were previously fucked over or even if they are in that “i need to find myself state” we wait for the girl who is able to realize how great of a guy he is. But I say Fuck that, sometimes “beezies” need to know in advance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a nice guy. I won’t cheat on a girl, I base my “code of conduct” with one saying “close one door before you open another”.

To me it’s as simple as that. If I fall in love a with girl, I fall in love with her for the simple platonic reason, “with genuine platonic love, the beautiful or lovely other person inspires the mind and the soul and directs one’s attention to spiritual things”. Inspiration is far more important to me than beauty.

But seriously, I don’t have much purpose to this post. My only hope for this post is for a girl who is in contemplation between the good guy or the bad guy to realize the obvious better choice. As much as the bad guy seems appealing, the good guy is always the best choice. My defending statement:

The good guy always makes sure you come first, from opening the door for you to making sure everything is ok. He makes sure your comfortable and makes sure you know you’re a queen. If it means freezing his ass off, he will take the button up off his back just to ensure your a slight bit warmer. The good guy always texts to make sure your home safe. The good guy never trips about where you are at. As long as you are having fun and are happy, he has nothing to complain about. The good guy always pays attention. He is caring toward whatever you may be going through. And when you are down, he is the one that is there without question. The good guy notices every detail about you, but not in a stalker-ish way. Though it is easy to assume he is *clinger* status, he is not. He see’s you for who you are and doesn’t claim you as an object. Even in front of his boys he never genuinely calls you a bitch or a hoe. The good guy listens, and is able to understand you very well. He puts himself in your shoe’s and actually sees things from your point of view. It is easy to mistake the good guy for you’re best friend, yet he is far more capable of making you happy then any guy out there. Yet the good guy is always looked over. 

I urge every girl/women out their to look over the important men in their life with a equal amount of judgement, regardless of looks, regardless of how clingy they can get. And step by step go over what this person can actually offer you in regards of happiness and simply take a chance.

For my fellow nice guys, I ask you to never give up. We are the last of this so called “chivalry”. No matter how much she says she’s tainted, or torn because of past relationships it is your job to show her the light. Always remember, revenge is never key. No matter how many times your heart is broken, breaking other hearts will never mend it. Stick by these rules and when you find her, I guarantee; life will be golden.
